The Beavers Trust

The Beavers Trust is made up of 7 board directors- Stefan Rance (Chairman), Ben Harrison-Hyde, Chris Hurst (Secretary), Curt Higgins (Treasurer), Iain MacKinnon, James Dean & Matt Williams (Vice Chairman)

Our purpose is to be the vehicle through which a healthy, balanced and constructive relationship between the Club and its supporters and the communities it serves is encouraged and developed. The business of the Society is to be conducted for the benefit of the community served by the Club and not for the profit of its members.

The Trust's objectives are to benefit the community by:

  • Being the democratic and representative voice of the supporters of the Club and strengthening the bonds between the Club and the communities which it serves
  • Achieving the greatest possible supporter and community influence in the running and ownership of the Club
  • Promoting responsible and constructive community engagement by present and future members of the communities served by the Club and encouraging the Club to do the same
  • Operating democratically, fairly, sustainably, transparently and with financial responsibility and encouraging the Club to do the same
  • Being a positive, inclusive and representative organisation, open and accessible to all supporters of the Club regardless of their age, income, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexuality or religious or moral belief.

The Beavers Trust Board of Directors

Get to know the dedicated individuals who make up our elected board, working tirelessly to represent the interests of all supporters and contribute to the success of The Beavers Trust. Feel free to approach any of them on matchdays or drop us an email at beaverstrust@gmail.com if you have matters you'd like us to address.

Stefan Rance- Chairman

I've been coming to the home of football since 1989 and been a regular ever since. Over this period I've done pretty much all roles that were available from running the bar, producing the programme, being on the committee and board, occasional groundsman and really bad tannoy announcer (seriously check out the worst bits on Andy Eggletons You Tube channel!)

I'm now Secretary of the Youth section and my eldest is currently in the academy. I want the Trust to be representative of the entire supporter base, ensure that our supporters are being given the best Hampton experience there is and work within the community to promote the club and provide help and support where we can to Hampton fans and the much wider community.

Chris Hurst- Secretary

I was elected to the board in 2023 and since then have filled the role of secretary, my main responsibilities are ensuring compliance with the constitution and rules of the society; overseeing the organisation of the Annual General Meeting and elections process; and liaising with the Football Supporters Association (FSA) as required.  I also record the minutes and actions at our regular board meetings.  I have supported the club for over 25 years and been a season ticket holder since the early 2000s.  In 2016, I started editing the club’s Beveree Review matchday programme and since then I have produced over 200 editions, mostly for the first team but also the occasional youth and academy programme!  In my spare time I have a side project working on my ever-expanding archive of Hampton match reports, newspaper clippings, photographs, videos, statistics and such like.  In the 2024/25 season I managed to attend every fixture (home and away, including pre-season friendlies!), thus completing what I now understand is called “The Card”.

Away from Hampton, I am a founder member and Secretary of West London Loyal RSC, a Glasgow Rangers Supporters’ Club based in the Whitton/Hounslow area.  One of many RSCs around London, we show televised Rangers matches and organise club trips to Glasgow. I am also a season ticket holder for Chelsea Women and enjoy attending matches when Hampton fixtures don’t clash.  I am based in Whitton and my other pursuits and interests include local history, travelling, current affairs, distance running and an eclectic mix of music.  Before a home fixture you’ll most probably find me in the World’s End with the rabble, although I will only be drinking 0% beers, having quit alcohol in May 2023.  Please buy a printed programme from the trust on matchdays, I will be very grateful!

Curt Higgins- Treasurer

Like a few of my fellow board members, I was introduced to South West London's premium football team as a child and never looked back. At first, an easy choice due to the short walk to the ground, turned into a Saturday afternoon necessity to catch up friends over a beverage or two (and on the odd occasion some football would break out).

Being a chartered accountant by trade, I was quickly nominated as treasurer on joining the Trust Board in November 2023 and although the numbers have not been that exciting due to our limited involvement during the first year and a half of my tenure, I am looking forward to assisting the club in more fruitful ways from the start of the 2025/26 season.

Elsewhere, I run Beavers FC - the Supporters Team of HRBFC. Having been started by the late Keith Hussey back in 2007, I hold the honour of making the most appearances for the team over this last 15+ years.

Although being on a brief hiatus for the last 2 seasons, we are looking to get the team kick started again, so if you are interested in playing... please reach out !!

Iain MacKinnon

I am a Scot who has lived in London for 20 years. After moving to the local area I fell in love with the Beavers after my first visit in 2016 and have been a fan ever since.

I volunteered for several years doing odd jobs around Beveree and making friends before being invited onto the Trust Board. I was humbled to be elected following our first democratic elections and I am now more involved than ever in ensuring the fans are at the heart of our warm and welcoming club.

James Dean

I’ve been following HRBFC for many years now, and a season ticket holder since 2020.  I enjoy seeing people coming together for a common cause, and am keen to help make the matchday experience to be the best it can be for all supporters.

As a Trust board director, I have responsibilty for managing memberships ane renewals.  I also manage all our social media content as well as our website, as well as producing and sending out our newsletters.  In addition I produce all the pre-match music playlists for our home games.

I’ve been involved in football all my life, originally as a player, and then more recently as a coach for a local youth team, and now as a supporter.  As such, I am keen to actively contribute and give something back to the sport.

I’ve lived in Twickenham for over 20 years, and I work in a regional leadership role in the retail industry.

I am married with two children and divide my footballing allegiance between The Beavers and Manchester United.
